Changes in Victory Day Holidays
In October 2012, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medevdev signed a decree that has extended the Victory Day holidays by 1 day. Victory Day break will begin on May 9, and end on May 12.Other Holidays Affected
The decree also affects the durations of the New Year break and the Spring and Labor Day Holidays. Russians will now have a 10 day New Year break starting December 30 and ending the day after the Russian Orthodox Christmas Day on January 8.
The Spring and Labor Day Holidays will start on May 1 and end on May 5.
