Dean wrote for Time and Date from 2022-2025, creating feature articles ranging from big-picture mysteries like the What Is Time to fun bits of ephemera like Where to Celebrate New Year’s Twice (or Thrice!).
Before joining the team, he followed a winding career path that included journalism for US News and World Report, National Geographic News, and many others. Nowadays, he plays in the band Beat Shack, (available on Spotify and Bandcamp) and is knee-deep in developing an animation series.
Maybe the best part of writing for Time and Dat was working with really talented people on a site that helps maintain the integrity of science in an age when it is under threat.
