Eid al-Fitr
Eid al-Fitr, which is on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal, marks the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan.
On Eid al-Adha, Muslims demonstrate their obedience to Allah by sacrificing an animal. The holiday is inspired by a story from the Quran that is also known to Christians and Jews.
Is Eid al-Adha a Public Holiday?
Eid al-Adha is not a public holiday. Businesses have normal opening hours.
