We're looking for an awesome web designer to join our multinational team.
timeanddate has been serving free time and date information long before Google ruled the web. We provide the world with loads of useful tools regarding time and calendars, but we do so much more than tell the time.
Towards the end of 2022 to 2023 there are major eclipses coming up, so we are focusing on scaling up our eclipse content. Have a look at what we do.
Lately we have been busy building our successful astronomy and API products. Here are a few examples of what we've been up to; API site and Meteor Showers. We still have a lot to do, and our Astronomy Team needs a new designer to help with the Astronomy products, but also to update our older tools and services with a modern user experience..

The Design Team of three has a mighty task—transforming our data into understandable content for our users. Being a small team makes us a close-knit group of designers who support and motivate each other. We currently have people working on illustrations, videos, and promotions, and now we need another good, all-round web designer who is strong in UX understanding. Perhaps that is you?
What we are looking for:
- A Bachelor's degree in web design (experience can replace the academic requirement)
- 3++ years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of HTML fundamentals
- Good understanding of SEO
- Good experience with responsive design
- You have a portfolio that reflects you as a designer (quality over quantity)
- You're able to communicate your work clearly and effectively
- You can act on feedback from others and provide helpful feedback
- You're not afraid to suggest improvements or raise concerns
- You seek to learn from others as well as share your knowledge and experience
What you will do:
In 2023, we would like you to help with:
- Massive new astronomy sections and visualizations
- Redesigning our home page
- New Navigation and Information Architecture
- Making our services even more UX-friendly
- Forming a design system
- Building many more new services

At timeanddate, we chase solar and lunar eclipses with our mobile observatory to give you LIVE broadcasts from celestial events worldwide.
