Standard Time During Ramadan and Eid

Based on the recommendations from The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Palestinian government has decided to delay the start of Daylight Saving Time in 2024 and 2025.

This moves the DST entry date further away from the month of Ramadan and the Eid ul Fitr holiday (the latter marks the end of Ramadan).

DST Also Delayed in 2025

The Palestinian government also announced that the date for 2025 will be delayed by one week:

Clocks will be set forward 1 hour:

  • Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 02:00 (2 am)
to 03:00 (3 am) local time.

Clocks will be set back 1 hour:

  • Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 02:00 (2 am),
to 01:00 (1 am) local time

This is not the first year the Palestinian government has moved DST dates around—the same happened in 2020, 2021, and 2023.
