International Year 2011

Global organizations, such as the United Nations (UN), organize activities and projects for “International Year” events to raise public awareness on major global issues and encourage international action.

The events for 2011 include:

• The International Year of Forests.
• The International Year of Chemistry.
• The International Year for People of African Descent.
