Frontend Developer
You might know us as timeanddate.com: the world-leading website on time and date-related tools and services. Online since 1998, we beat Google to the punch, attracting all of 24 users on day one. Today, we have up to 2 million unique users a day using our wide range of tools from time zone management, like our Time Zone Converter, our Stopwatch, to amazing astronomy tools like our Interactive Night Sky map, and so much more.

What you will do:
- Developing exciting new products, interfaces, and visual tools
- Improving, modernizing, and streamlining existing products
- Collaborating with - and inspiring - team members and project colleagues
- Reviewing code and providing feedback on the work of team members
- Contributing to developing our pattern libraries, code standards, and style guides
- Making our services even more UX-friendly
- Continuously improving our Development environment to make writing code as fun as our services are
What we would like from you:
- You can write clean, high-quality Javascript
- You have knowledge of advanced CSS
- You can write clean, semantic, standards-compliant, and accessible HTML
- You're able to communicate your work clearly and effectively in English
- You can act on feedback from others and provide helpful feedback
- You're not afraid to suggest improvements or raise concerns
It would be very beneficial if you are familiar with:
- Build tools (such as Vite)
- Common frameworks and libraries, such as Vue, D3, Leaflet, and three.js (or similar)
- Knowledge of Storybook, and design systems
- You ❤ code, and you keep up-to-date with the web platform

Our working day is 7.5 hours. Are you an early bird or a night owl? With core hours from 9:00 to 15:00, we accommodate both, whether you prefer to catch that worm or burn the midnight oil.

If you've ever wanted to see a solar or lunar eclipse, this is the place to work! Chasing (and LIVE streaming) eclipses is the boss' passion project, and he always finds the best location anywhere in the world! So far, we have streamed from Angola, Greece, Morocco, Argentina, and Norway.
At timeanddate, we chase solar and lunar eclipses with our mobile observatory to give you LIVE broadcasts from celestial events worldwide.
