Australia: In the locations that observe the clock change, DST starts on October 3, 2021. Clocks are set forward 1 hour from 02:00 (2 am) to 03:00 (3 am), local time.

On Lord Howe Island, situated in a rare half-hour time zone, clocks are set forward 30 minutes instead of one hour.

No DST in Parts of Australia

Northern and western parts of Australia do not use DST, so the clocks will not change in Queensland, the Northern Territory, or Western Australia.

The same is the case in the Australian dependencies Christmas Island and Cocos Island.

New Zealand Clock Change

Samoa starts DST on the same date as New Zealand, on September 26, 2021. Clocks are set forward from 03:00 (3 am) to 04:00 (4 am) local time.

American Samoa does not have clock changes.

When Does DST End Again?

DST in Australia and New Zealand ends on April 3, 2022, when clocks fall back to standard time.

In Australia, DST runs from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April. New Zealand observes DST from the last Sunday in September to the first Sunday in April.
